Margherita Pizza on Naan Recipe by Chef Michele Lambert

Let’s be honest, homemade pizza is amazing. Using fresh ingredients, and more importantly ingredients you really love, make all of the difference in the world, but making pizza can be time consuming and difficult if you make your own pizza dough. So why do it?

Try this instead, pizza on naan bread! Simply pick your favorite flavor of naan (we love Garlic Naan), load it up with your favorite toppings and voila, your new favorite pizza!

Chef Michele baked up a delicious Margherita Pizza for us this week. Check out this super easy and affordable recipe:

Ingredients

1 Garlic Naan

1/2 cup Pizza Sauce or Marinara Sauce

1 8 oz. package of fresh Mozzarella Cheese, sliced into 1/4” medallions

8 oz. Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, halved

Chopped Fresh Basil, To Taste

Balsamic Glaze, To Taste

Red Pepper Flakes, To Taste

Preheat oven to 375F.

On a pizza stone or baking sheet, begin building your pizza. Cover the top of a garlic naan with the pizza sauce. Then add the mozzarella medallions, halved cherry tomatoes, basil and red pepper flakes.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown in some places.

Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with Balsamic Glaze and enjoy (Be careful! Hot pizza!)

Serves 1-2 people.
