Walmart Hispanic Heritage Month Tasting: Plant Based Street Tacos
Last week, Chef Michele was honored to be invited by our friends at Pulmuone to develop and serve an incredible plant-based street taco for the Hispanic Heritage Month Tasting at the Walmart Home Office. Chef Michele and the team at Pulmuone headed by Maria Billings and Todd Marshall served 400 tasters and had them coming back for more!
September is National Hispanic Heritage Month which traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans and celebrates heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. Walmart celebrates this month is many ways, and last Thursday’s tasting event was held to highlight and share the many amazing, innovative and cutting-edge hispanic flavors and products that Walmart sells and will be selling soon in stores around the country.
Pulmuone is promoting new and exciting plant-based proteins that can be quickly heated up and used to elevate vegan and vegetarian meals by providing an easy to prepare and mouthwatering alternative to traditional plant-based proteins.
Walmart Associates at the event loved the flavor of Plantspired plant-based steak strips and one associate who’s family owns a ranch even said they would have had no idea that this product is not actually quality steak. With such positive feedback, we are excited to see what this innovative new brand does to support the effort of everyday consumer to incorporate more plant-based meal options into their everyday menu planning.
Thanks to Pulmuone and Nasoya for allowing Culinary Creative, LLC to be involved in such a fun and informative event. Looking forward to great things as people get to know Nasoya Plantspired products.
